This vein of music fascinates me as something that was not possible a decade ago. While this dense psychedelia is the direct descendent of Beck's Odelay, its hyper-edited and uber-maninulated style was not possible in the pre-ProTools era. There's a infectious, wide-eyed exuberance to this EP that I get swept up in. It wasn't until I was writing this up that I found out Nelson was in CHLL PLL with Zach Hill, and this all suddenly makes more sense…
